1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of the Chronolio website and application (the "Service"), operated from South Africa. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when registering and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service.

3. Plans, trials, and billing

• The Free plan provides limited functionality for once-off use. Premium plans are billed monthly or annually via our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy.
• Premium includes a 7-day free trial. You can cancel during the trial without charge.
• Premium purchases include a 30-day money-back guarantee: if the Service isn't working for you, contact us within 30 days of first payment for a refund.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancelling stops future charges; your Premium features remain active until the end of the paid period.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the timelines, templates, images, and other content you create or upload. You grant us the limited licence needed to store, process, and display that content in order to operate the Service — including processing event descriptions through third-party AI providers to deliver AI features, and making content you explicitly share publicly available at your share link.

5. Acceptable use

• No unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
• No attempts to breach, probe, or overload the Service.
• No reselling or white-labelling the Service without agreement.
• No abuse of AI features (e.g. automated bulk extraction).

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or abuse the Service.

6. AI-generated content

AI features produce suggested schedules and edits automatically. They may contain errors — always review AI output before relying on it for a real event. AI output is provided "as is" and you are responsible for verifying its suitability.

7. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify features over time; material reductions in paid functionality will be communicated in advance where reasonably possible.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chronolio is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including under the South African Consumer Protection Act.

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may terminate or suspend access for breach of these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content licences needed to wind down, and limitation of liability) survive.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts.
